Website Creation
OnWheels.com is a website I designed and coded in Spring of 2021. My inspiration for this project came from my amazement and interest in van life that I’ve had for a while now. Ever since I was young I’ve been obsessed with old Volkswagen buses. After watching a multitude of YouTube videos and reading articles about van life, I hoped to create an all-in-one van life platform that is a source of information and a place where people can post reviews to help others. This is definitely my proudest moment in digital creation so far. Enjoy!

This is the original rough draft, of what I wanted my website to look like. Some ideas stayed the same like the different routes. Other ideas changed, like the website name itself.
Inspiration
After I had a broad layout for my site, I looked around for inspiration from other websites.
creation
Created a moodboard for what I wanted the "feel" of the website to be. I took a lot of inspiration from retro-70's-esque art to accompany the popular van life that was created in the early 60s and 70s.
Final
product
I liked this page the most because of the actions that the user could use. They could view different route guides posted by other van lifers, and they could even choose a route based on the state at the bottom of the page.
I believe I accomplished an easy-to-use website, still keeping that retro feel that van life brings to most of its travelers.
One day I might have the resources and want to create this into a functioning business for Van Lifers to have at their right hand.
